YEAR-END TEAM CELEBRATION & ANNUAL MEETING Team families will be gathering in late April for elections and socializing to celebrate the end of the year. Annually in July... KIRKSVILLE RED, WHITE & BLUE FESTIVAL Aquadog swimmers and family members (all are encouraged and welcome!) will once again walk in the Kirksville Fourth of July parade. Swimmers will line up between 3:00-3:30pm (location tba), and the parade begins at 4:00pm. This event is always a lot of fun for swimmers, coaches, and families! Please bring some swim-themed goodies to hand out along the parade route. Suggestions include: swim noodles, swim toys, goggles, liquid freeze-pop popsicle tubes, and, the best idea of all, some of your old swim magazines! (You know, those magazines you get from being a member of USA Swimming but that your swimmer probably doesn't need to hang onto...?) Good places to find discount swim items at the beginning of July are the clearance section of Walmart or the local "dollar" stores. These items will be tagged with Aquadogs information and distributed to spectators/children during the parade. Also, swimmers and families are encouraged to wear their Aquadog apparel and red-white-blue clothing! Annually in October... TRUMAN HOMECOMING PARADE Saturday, October 8th, 2011. Line up is at 8:15am, and the parade begins at 9:00am. We march down Franklin Street and end at Stadium Drive. It has been our tradition to give out inexpensive swim-related items rather than candy, so please bring anything you might have to donate... swim noodles, goggles, caps, buckets, toys, old swim magazines, etc. are all appropriate. Family members are welcome and encouraged to walk with the swimmers too! Everyone is asked to wear either Aquadog apparel or something black, grey, purple, or white, or Truman-themed if possible, and remember to dress warmly!  Team families traditionally gather together for an evening of food and fellowship at the pool. There are plenty of water games and activities for all ages, as well as good holiday cheer.
