Summer Program 2011

Join the Aquadogs for

SUMMER SEASON 2011

May-June-July

Swimmers, ages 6-18, are ready for the Aquadogs youth swim team if they can:

o   Swim one lap/50 yards of unassisted freestyle (front crawl),  and

o   Swim one length/25 yards each of backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke.

OR if they have passed Level 5 of a Red Cross swim lesson program.

Stroke techniques do NOT need to be perfect.  Also, no diving or flip-turn skills are required (these will be

team-taught), but the ability to swim underwater for a short distance and use basic breathing techniques is useful.

PRACTICES  The Aquadogs summer swim program is structured to fit into a busy family’s lifestyle!  Flexible practice times offer the opportunity for physical fitness at any level.  Families may choose practice days and times based on personal schedules, and new swimmers may begin swimming anytime during the summer season as long as registration forms and fees are submitted by April 29th.  Practices are held at the Kirksville Aquatic Center, with options as follows:
