~ Publicity & Fundraising

The Aquadogs enjoy taking part in Kirksville parades, Aquatic Center events, and other local activities. These events are great opportunities for our club to show team spirit and for swimmers to enjoy club camaraderie.

Aquadog swimmers, family members and friends are invited to walk in community parades. These events are always a lot of fun for swimmers, coaches, and families!

The Aquadogs traditionally hand out inexpensive swim-related items to children along parade routes. Please bring anything you might have to donate: swim noodles, goggles, caps, beach toys, swim magazines, lifesavers, gummy fish, bubble-blowing bottles, etc. are all appreciated.
  • Truman Homecoming Parade
This parade will take place on Saturday, October 19th, 2013. Line up is at 8:30am, and the parade begins at 9:00am. We will march down Franklin Street and end at Stadium DriveEveryone is asked to wear either Aquadog apparel and/or Truman-themed clothing if possible, and remember to dress warmly!  (See Homecoming 2013.)

ASA is a volunteer parent-run organization, and most of our income is from monthly fees collected from our members.

Although fundraising is rare for our team, in order to help keep our programs affordable and our budget balanced, we occasionally conduct fundraising events (typically only one per year).

All swim families are asked to contribute in some way, either with work time, supplies, or monetary donations. These are usually very fun activities for our kids to take part in, and only require a minimum of time and effort on the part of parents.
