Tony Meyer Tony started
swimming when he was 9 as a form of physical therapy for a broken arm.
Therapy turned into a serious hobby, however. Tony swam on a
neighborhood team in St. Louis for several years and then joined his
high school team, which he captained his senior year.
Tony
participated in Division III athletics, swimming the sprint freestyle
and butterfly events and playing water polo for Knox College. In his
junior year, he was a second team All-American in the Division III
collegiate water polo tournament.
After
graduating college, Tony taught high school English at De Smet Jesuit
High School in St. Louis. He served as an assistant coach to the
swimming team and state-champion water polo team.
Currently, Tony is pursuing a Master's degree in English at Truman State University.
