News from our most excellent president. . .

Hello, Aquadog parents!  It may be cold and snowy outside, but it’s still nice and warm inside the Kirksville Aquatic Center.  Here are a few updates for February:

·         We will have our first Natatorium Practice of the season this Saturday, February 8, from 1:30-3:00.  Juniors and Swim Team members are all welcome to attend!   This is a great chance to practice diving from the blocks.   If this is your first Natatorium practice, remember to go over the Natatorium protocol rules with your swimmer:

·         Remember that when Kirksville schools are cancelled due to inclement weather, there will be no Aquadogs practice.  (Like tomorrow, for example.)

·         There will be no morning swim practice this Saturday (Feb. 8)  due to the Natatorium practice, and there will be no practice onMonday, February 17 due to the school closings for Presidents’ Day.

·         Remember that all swimmers must register with USA Swimming once they are past the two-week grace period after first attending practice.  Juniors, most of you still need to do this.  The form can be found online here.  The fee is $55, which you can include with your February dues or send in a separate check to ASA.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  Tony Vazzana (tvazzana@gmail.com) can answer your dues questions, Susan Knox (knox.susan@gmail.comcan answer coaching questions, and I’m available to answer most other things at this email address or at 349-8372.

See you Saturday at the Nat!

Dana Vazzana
