Wear your team colors this Saturday at the Mock Meet!

posted Jan 26, 2012 7:34 PM by Debra Krusniak

At our upcoming Natatorium Mock Meet, and the February meet at the Ottumwa Beach, we want to invite you to wear your team colors - any combination of purple with white, grey or black -  and any Aquadogs gear you've got stashed in your closet.

We don't have an official team uniform - that would probably cost each family a bundle of money - but we do want to turn out in style, and wear our team colors whenever we can!

We have a stash of team logo swim caps - just let us know if you'd like one!

Ottumwa Meet - Sat, Feb 4th (Register by Jan 31st!)

posted Jan 26, 2012 7:26 PM by Debra Krusniak   [ updated Jan 26, 2012 7:30 PM ]

On February 4 we will join swimmers from around the area in Ottumwa for a Meet at the Beach. Again - these local meets are a blast and everyone cheers for everyone! Ribbons will be given for heats. Warm-up starts at 8:25 am and go until 8:50 am. These Ottumwa folks are very organized! Tony will be the coach attending with the team, and a meet fee of $10 to help cover his time would be appreciated by the Board. If this is a hardship - please send Liza Ramberg or Andrea Maag an email! No one should stay home for such a reason. Ottumwa is very flexible with late entries and so you can email Andrea Maag with the name of your swimmer until January 31.  ALSO - if you want to carpool - please give Andrea an email and she will help organize it. Andrea also has directions to the Beach.

Kirksville Community Center Survey

posted Jan 2, 2012 11:35 AM by Debra Krusniak

Aquadogs -  Please take a moment to read the following letter from Melanie Smith, and complete the associated survey.

Many individuals and groups in Kirksville have expressed interest in the development of a community center.  Based on this, the City of Kirksville is partnering with the Center for Applied Statistical Evaluation (CASE) at Truman State University to develop and implement a needs assessment for Adair County that will determine the level of interest in a community center and what activities and amenities would be important in such a facility.  If the survey results show enough interest, the City Council will begin to look for partnerships, grants and other resources that might assist in the planning and development of a new facility, or changes to existing facilities to meet the needs of our community.

Please take a few minutes to complete this important survey; you can do so electronically or via paper.  To complete your survey electronically, visit http://case.truman.edu/community.asp. A link to the survey will also be located on the City’s Website, www.kirksvillecity.com.  Paper versions of the survey can be picked up and returned at City Hall, Kirksville Aquatic Center, Adair County Public Library or Adair County Family YMCA. Please be sure to complete a survey and have your opinions heard!
